A couple of weeks ago, we checked out "The Apple Pie Tree" from the library. The story is about an apple tree in the different seasons and how the family bakes apple pie using the apples. At the end, there's a simple apple pie recipe. Rosemary saw it and asked if we could make one. I'd never made a pie from scratch, but together during Ben's naptime one day we tackled it using the recipe from the book.

Remind me to let you borrow a book collection "If you give a Mouse a Cookie" It has 4 stories in it and each one has songs (it comes with a cd to sing too) plus recipes to make the things in the book. Landon loves the book but we having made anything as of yet.
The apple pie looked yummy, I think the less"pretty" they look the yummier they tend to be!
