Easter

Easter was pretty low-key for us this year. We've been a bit under the weather...again. It was wonderfully relaxing on Sunday though.

On Saturday, we had a pretty successful garage sale and managed to sell all of the large items so that was nice to help clean out the garage. My mom came up to help.

I had made purses for my mom and some of her friends who are going on vacation together. Six bags all in month. Whew!

Happy Easter!

It was cold here for Easter so he all had to wear long sleeves to stay warm.

Expressions of Rosemary, Part 2

About a year ago, we posted some of Rosemary's various expressions. Earlier this week, she started hamming it up for the camera again so I thought it would be fun to show you some of the funny faces she makes for us.
First, there's a picture from Campus House's Spring Fling. They did a Price Is Right theme and Jonathan made it to the Showcase Showdown. Rosemary wanted to be in on the action too. She would clap when everyone clapped and seemed to really enjoy the game.
Rosemary with her dad and Bob Barker and his Beauties.

It all started with Rosemary eating some goldfish and animal crackers...

Then she gave me, "the eyebrows." This look always makes me laugh...which is bad. Because she sometimes does it right after we've told her no. And we're not supposed to laugh at that.

When she's really happy, she'll squinch her eyes up.

But she's got big beautiful blues.

She's so funny!

Mmmmm...animal crackers!

First Steps

On Sunday, March 25, Rosemary took her first steps.

We went to the Butterfly Rainforest one last time before our passes expired and brought the camera to get some pictures. I had forgotten to put the memory card back in the camera so we only had room for about 7 pictures on the internal memory. We didn't capture the exact moment of the first steps...but we captured the moments around them!

Rosemary is old enough now to be fascinated by the butterflies. She looks like she's about to pounce!

It was a wonderful day to visit. The butterflies were very active. We've found that if it's too cold, while it is still nice to go, the butterflies don't fly around as much. This day they did!

This was the moment before her very first steps. I wanted Jonathan to get a picture of her standing, which he did, and then she proceded to walk to the side of the bridge...all by herself!

It was so nice that we both got to see it rather than hearing about it when we picked her up from daycare. We even drew a crowd because we were so excited.

This is side of the bridge that she walked to. Once there, she stuck her foot through the railing and dropped her shoe in the water. You can see the shoe in this picture, even though Jonathan didn't mean to take the picture of the shoe in the water...it's the bright white spot just to the left of Rosemary.

Jonathan fished out the shoe as it traveled "downstream" to where he could reach. Unfortunately, Rosemary wasn't able to walk anymore at the rainforest because she had one soggy shoe. :-)

Party at the park

A couple of weekends ago, we attended Zachary C's second birthday party at a local park. It was a beautiful day and Rosemary loved the park. She practiced walking (holding onto either mom or dad...and sometimes both) and even started standing some more on her own.

Walking with daddy.

Walking with mommy.

Slidin' away. You can tell she likes it because her tongue is out.

Some of the other people there had a little dog that Rosemary loved to pet. She was on her way there in this picture and the next.

Doesn't it look like she's up to something?

She was walking great just holding onto one finger!

The family. Rosemary looks so serious.

Mmm...cookie cake!

Sam's

I just thought this was a nice picture of Rosmary. We went to Sam's one day with Jonathan's mom and dad and she was all smiles.

It's GREAT to be a Florida Gator...again :-)
