Enrollment Management Holiday Party

Jonathan’s office party was held at the UF President’s House this year. I have loved going to Harn the past few years, but I have to say that I thought the President’s House was even a better location. It felt cozier and more festive in a way. The house is just beautiful and the Christmas decorations made the house sparkle.

We ate outside on the brick patio. It was chilly, but we were tucked away from the wind and there were outdoor heaters. With kids, sometimes it’s just easier outside, even if it’s cold.

We snapped a photo of the kids on our way out. They were enjoying their rock candy sticks.

Christmas Tree Decorating 2013

Our little pre-lit tree gave up the ghost after Rosemary’s Narnia birthday party. While my dad and Jonathan went to great lengths to get the row of lights back on, it was beyond repair. Instead of buying a new artificial tree, we decided to go with a live tree this year. We found a nice, full, slender tree at Home Depot. Because it was live, we waited a bit later than usual to put it up and decorate it.

All done!

The lights and ribbon took a bit of beating from the kids already by the time I took this photo that night, but we managed to get through the season without tipping the tree over.

Seth’s Wedding

We spent Thanksgiving night with my parents. On Friday morning, Jonathan and I stopped by Lowe’s to buy some shelves for the garage then headed to see Catching Fire. We got back to the house and got ready for Seth’s wedding.

We got a chance to catch up a bit with Seth. We were seated at a table with my Algebra 2 teacher, so it was fun catching up with her as well.

Our kids were so excited to dance at the wedding.

Rosemary and Ben did the box step…which they learned from watching Curious George. They are surprisingly good at it.

And Ben caught the garter! It was so funny! And he was so very proud.

And Rosemary made a valiant effort to catch the bouquet, but alas, height worked against her this time.

Thanksgiving 2013

This year, we celebrated Thanksgiving with the Peines in Clermont.

Roar!

Rosemary earned a face paint kit from selling Girl Scout nuts this fall. One morning, she painted Ben’s face to look like a lion. I think she did a great job.

Thanksgiving Party

The Bolins hosted a fun Thanksgiving party the week before Thanksgiving. Our kids had a blast making hats, hearing stories, doing a play, and eating delicious food.

Julie’s 34th Birthday

Jonathan took the day off of work for my birthday and we all took the day off of school. I went shopping a bit that day. For dinner we enjoyed burgers at Red Robin.
