Many Firsts...(Disney, beach and daddy's birthday)

Hope that you enjoy the many pictures below. I think we're almost caught up!

Rosemary is taking everything in during her first Disney trip. She waited on Jonathan's shoulders for her first ride on It's a Small World. She rode Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World, the Peoplemover, and Buzz Lightyear. Oh, and of course, the Monorail.
In mid-September, we headed down to Disney for a conference that I attended with work. We took advantage of staying at the hotel and went down a day early to visit the parks, courtesy of Becky and Steve. Here Rosemary is hanging out on one of the beds at the Contemporary with her very first Minnie Mouse doll.
This was the view from our hotel window. We had an incredible view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Monday night we ate at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Rosemary just wanted to share daddy's drink!

This little girl is tuckered out. We were heading over to ride the carosel, but she didn't quite make it.

It's a Small World started out well, but she didn't make it all the way to the end. She just snuggled into her dad's arms and took a little nap.

Welcome to Disney, Rosemary!

Her first set of Minnie Mouse ears. What a sweet girl!

Here we are with my mom and dad right before going on Main Street. Yes, we are wearing matching shirts. Yes, we are from Central Florida. And yes, it was so much fun!

Splish, splash! Rosemary can sit up now in her little tub and she splashes while we wash her. Bathtime is one of her favorite times.

Rosemary's giving kisses!

Me and Rosemary after church one Sunday

Happy Birthday, Daddy! For Jonathan's birthday and Labor Day weekend, we joined his family in St. Augustine.

Rosemary's hanging out with Grandma P. during her first beach trip at Anastasia Island.

She's not a huge fan of the ocean just yet. Staying in Jonathan's arms was just what she wanted.

Tennis, anyone?

Hey, check me out, I'm seven months old! (8-31-06). Is it me or is this gator getting smaller?

I'm taking after my grandpa and starting to read the newspaper.

Look, I'm sitting up without any help!

Finally, an update!

Jonathan and I headed to Daytona Beach for a few days for our anniversary. Rosemary stayed with Grandma and Grandpa W. while we were away.

Before heading to Daytona, we spent a few days in Longwood visiting with Charles and Schuyler. We didn't go to Disney, but we all had matching Disney shirts, even Rosemary!

While in Longwood, Rosemary had her first dip in the spa. She didn't seem to know quite what to make of it.

Rosemary and mom hanging out a bit before heading to work.

Rosemary's first sippy cup experience. She did okay, but wasn't a huge fan of water!

Independence Day

Rosemary is five months old!

She's still got those big blue eyes.

Rosemary is hanging out at the church picnic last week. Her little onesie says

"My dad's a super hero."

She loves to giggle in the mirror.

To celebrate Independence Day, we went to campus to watch the fireworks.

Happy fourth of July!

The booms were a little scary, but she loved watching the colors.

Sitting and visitors

So this isn't a great picture of me, but Rosemary sure looks cute! She's getting close to sitting up by herself.

Cody came to visit before he heads up to Illinois. While Cody holds Rosemary, Rosemary eats her alligator.

After one of her meals.

Four months and First Foods

Rosemary is four months old! We almost forgot to take the alligator picture, so we got one as we were putting her down to bed. She was so sleepy!

Rosemary seems to enjoy her new exersaucer. Thanks Uncle Jason and Aunt Nikki!

Reading some fairy tales with dad before bedtime.

Her first meal. Rosemary ate her first bit of cereal the day that tropical storm Alberto came through Gainesville.

Mmm...delicious.

The bathing beauty.

She ROLLED OVER...

...and we both missed it! Jonathan had laid Rosemary down in her crib this afternoon on her back, and when I went in to get her, she was on her tummy! So she managed to roll over from her back to her stomach and we didn't even get to watch!

Butterflies, Bjorns, and Bumbos

Rosemary has been learning to sit up in her bumbo seat. She does pretty well in it. It's designed to support her so she can't slip out and helps to strengthen her neck muscles. Sometimes she'll prop just one arm up on the side. It's hilarious.

The last two pictures are from Mother's Day. We headed to Butterfly Rainforest...again...but this time Rosemary got to face out in her Baby Bjorn. I think her favorite part was the end, where you have to "check for hitchhikers" in the big mirror. She was all smiles.

The Many Expressions of Rosemary

Mother's Day 2006

Aloha!

She's crackin' up!

Daddy's beard is so interesting to her

Awww...sweet girl.

She's three months old! And check out the tummy.

Easter

This Easter, we invited our parents to come to Gainesville for church and lunch afterwards. My friend, Rachel, and her son, Will, came to Harvest with us too. Will is just a few days younger than Rosemary so we've been to most of the new mom lunches together.

Rachel, Will, me and Rosemary. Rosemary hadn't quite woken up yet.
This is from our backyard, right in front of our roses.

Doesn't it look like she's up to something?
