Devil's Millhopper

One of the last cool days in Gainesville, Jonathan's family came up for a trip to Devil's Millhopper.

Another Butterfly Visit

I apologize for the delay in posting new pictures. The ones below are from when Rosemary was about 2 months old.

What a cute bunny!

Pictures--around 2 months old

Once again, Rosemary's favorite place to sleep. Daddy doesn't seem to mind too much either!
She smiles!

It was too warm to wear this at Easter,

but she sure looked cute as a bunny.

Sleeping and Smiling

Rosemary is so close to sleeping through the night! One night, I fed her at 11:00 and I woke up at 5:22 and she hadn't woken up yet. I checked on her then laid back down. She didn't get up until 6:30. The next night she was up around 4:30 again, but then the night after that she made it until 5:30. So we're getting close!

She's starting to smile now while she's awake. I've tried to catch a picture of it, but I can't seem to. I'll keep trying and make sure to add it once I get a good one.

Two weeks ago Jason, Nikki, Charles, Schuyler, and Emma came to visit their new niece and cousin. While they were here, we went to the butterfly exhibit. A few picture from their visit are below.

Incredible people

No pictures today, but I just wanted to post that Jonathan and I have been blessed with the most incredible friends. Just yesterday Rosemary received another package of goodies from our friends Paul and Cristina (thanks guys!) and that was just one of many. We've gotten packages from Jim & Ellen, Matt & Stacey, my mom's Stacy, Becky & Steve gave her a ton of clothes, and my brother and his family just brought a ton of stuff, just to name a few. (Your thank you notes are coming, I just had to buy more because we ran out!). We've been brought dinner, many have called to check and see how we're doing, and so many have been lifting us up in prayer. It has been incredible!

One month old

Last week, we found out that Rosemary weighed 8 lbs, 9 oz. This was great news! She had gained a little over an ounce a day. Even with her spitting up she was still getting bigger.

Since Rosemary was born on January 31, we weren't quite sure when she would "officially" be one month old. We decided that February 28 would work. On the 28th we were finally able to give her a real bath. She loved getting her sponge baths on the vanity, but she wasn't a huge fan of sitting in the water when we set her in the sink. Hopefully she'll start to like it though.

Today we visited coworkers on campus. It was nice to be out and see everyone again. She's a charmer.

Rosemary's first bath.

She's so sweet!

Rosemary's eyes are still blue/grey. Jonathan and I both have a recessive gene so they could end up staying blue even though we both have brown eyes, but we'll see.

Here we are with Rosemary in her carrier. While my brother and his family are here I plan on using it. We're going to the butterfly exhibit so hopefully she likes walking around attached to me.

We did a little photo shoot today since she was all dressed up and it was so nice outside.

Aww...
Our little girl.

Just a little update

A few new pics to enjoy.

We take Rosemary to the doctor again tomorrow to see how she's gaining weight. She threw up a little bit earlier in the week, but she seems to be getting better. And she is doing so well otherwise!

After a bath.

Yawn.

Happy belated Valentine's Day!

On Valentine's Day, Rosemary turned 2 weeks old. This week she had her first doctor's appointment and got her first immunization. While at the doctor, she decided to spit up everywhere, which led to us being very careful during and after her feedings. She's doing well now though!

Jonathan and I are adjusting to some new sleep habits, but Rosemary has been very kind to us. She will sleep up to 4 1/2 hours a stretch at night already.

Rosemary has started to roll from her back to her side. We'll lay her down on her back and when we check on her later, she's curled up on her side. I think she gets her coordination from her dad.

Enjoy the new pictures below!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Check out those big eyes.

Rosemary Edith Peine

Below are a few pictures from Rosemary's first week. We spent the whole week at the hospital, but we were able to bring home a happy, healthy, and beautiful (I may be a bit biased) baby.

This was taken shortly after Rosemary was born, after she had been cleaned up in the special care nursery. She made her arrival on January 31, 2006, at 3:15 pm, weighing 7 lbs, 6 oz. She was 19 inches long.

Here I am with Joanna, our labor and delivery nurse. She was there with me almost the entire time. Although, since things progressed so quickly, she didn't have much time to go anywhere else! I went in for an office visit at 8:40 am and Rosemary was here just a few hours later.

When Rosemary was born, she spent the first few hours in the special care nursery to make sure that she was going to be alright. Our family was able to get a peek at her through one of the windows. Here are Michelle, Breanna, Matthew, Olivia, Tim, Elizabeth, and Ezekiel looking at their new niece and cousin.

Sleeping soundly.

Rosemary was given this little knitted blanket in the nursery. The nurses doted on her so much.

Grandma and Grandpa Workmaster visited on Saturday. Rosemary loved sitting on Grandma's lap.

Our Gator baby!
Rosemary had her first "professional" pictures taken in her orange and blue.

Getting ready to come home. Finally! We made it back home today, February 7. A week to the day after she was born.

Thank you to everyone who was praying for us. Rosemary is doing well! She remained on the anti-biotics mainly to prevent anything developing once we got home. She's doing so well now and already weighs 7 lbs., 10 oz.
